Corydoras Sterbai

Corydoras Sterbai, also known as Sterba's Cory, is a popular and attractive freshwater catfish. 

Appearance

• Size: They typically grow to about 2 to 2.6 inches
• Color: Sterbai Corys have a dark body with distinctive white spots, creating a striking contrast

Care

• Lifespan: They can live up to 15-20 years with proper care
• Diet: Omnivores, they eat a variety of foods including flakes, sinking pellets, and live or frozen foods like bloodworms and daphnia
• Water Conditions: They thrive in water temperatures between 72°F-79°F, with a pH of 6.0-7.5 
• Tank Size: A minimum of 20 gallons is recommended

Behavior

• Temperament: Peaceful and social, they should be kept in groups of five or more 
• Tank Mates: They get along well with other peaceful fish like tetras and dwarf cichlids

Breeding

• Difficulty: Breeding Corydoras Sterbai can be challenging, but they do spawn readily in captivity
