The Buddha Nut (Pterygota alata), also known as the ‘Buddha Coconut’ or Kasah, are a naturally occurring pod found in East Asia. The split along the sides happen naturally when the pod ripens, allowing seeds to be released. The exterior, once dried, resembles a dense bark with properties that help it withstand humid environments, creating a long-lasting and natural decoration.
